Our Story

Malibu Design Studio is a design and lifestyle company rooted in a deep appreciation for California and the way architecture and design influence how we live. Founded by Dianne Dominguez, the studio brings together architecture, interiors, and thoughtfully curated objects to create environments that feel effortless, intentional, and enduring.

We believe design is less about decoration and more about attention. Each piece is chosen with clarity and purpose, guided by an intuitive sense of refined minimalism. We favor organic, natural materials, lasting craftsmanship, and objects that feel timeless rather than trend-driven. 

Our approach is shaped by decades of experience in architectural and interior design, product and packaging design, and both digital and physical environments. We pay close attention to small details, knowing they often create the biggest emotional shift.

Alongside her design practice, Dianne is an artist working in oil painting, pottery, and mixed media. This fine art perspective reinforces our belief that beauty often comes from nuance and patina rather than perfection.
